Welcome back dear thespians to a somewhat new theatre experience - Oh...Life in a Pandemic!
Beauty and the Beast September Update!
The decision as to how and when Beauty and the Beast will be brought to an audience is still unclear, but will become apparent in the near future. I would like to hear some of your perspectives as well. For example, you might be feeling or thinking one of the following thoughts: been there, done that, let's move on; can't wait to share some of our hard work; whatever the others want suits me fine; let's film sections of the musical... Email me at [email protected] and share your thoughts and feelings. I look forward to hearing from you.
So here it is...as you all know, performances all over the globe have been cancelled. That is not to say LVR's Beauty and the Beast will not be performed sometime in the future. For now, however, there are no scheduled dates. This is standard for most theatre companies at this time. We must wait and see what happens. In the meantime, keep singing your songs and reviewing your lines. I know how disappointed we all are, but "the show will go on" in some capacity when the time is right. For now, glory in the fun we have had so far in rehearsing Beauty and the Beast. A big thank you to all of you for the hard work and dedication you have given this project already. I will post any new information about our production here. For now...we're still on hold. Can't wait to "get human again!"
Rehearsal schedules have been put on hold until further notice. We are waiting on more information regarding the performance date – will keep parents and students informed as information is updated. Current directive is for prioritizing public health and diminishing risk of transmission of CoVid-19, including social distancing, and ban on social/extra-curricular events of groups of more than 250 people. Will be taking direction from our District through the SD8 Pandemic Plan.
Important Update: Dear wonderful Beauty and the Beast cast and crew,
These are challenging times for all of us. Unfortunately, because of the current health situation, we need to put a pause on our splendid musical. For now, all the March break rehearsals are cancelled. Stay close to home, learn a new language, paint a picture, write a play, binge watch a good Netflix series, read ten books, go outside, enjoy your family and keep singing your parts and running your lines... For now, our performance date and venue are up in the air and that's just what it has to be right now. Please know that Allison, Jen and I have had so much fun working on this project with all of you, and we look forward to reuniting and sharing our production when the time is right. Please thank your parents for all the support. I will update this site next week. I have also included a link to a couple articles which may be of interest. Once again, thanks for all your hard work.
